Underage and Age Assurance Policy
Age-gating, age assurance, and underage-account handling
The English version of these policies controls. Any translation is provided only for convenience.
Sugar AI at https://sugarai.fun/ and https://sugarai.art/ is only for people who are at least 18 and meet any higher local age requirement for the service. Averlo, LLC does not permit minors to register, purchase, generate content, participate in the community or access adult material.
1. Access Controls
Before adult content is shown, you must confirm that you are at least 18 and at least the age of majority where you live. We store that confirmation in a first-party cookie named mature_ok. This is not a government identity check and not a biometric assessment. We do not use a third-party age-assurance provider. A cryptocurrency payment does not establish age. The gate applies on both domains, including previews, community pages, and account pages.
You must not use another account, false information, or the other Sugar AI domain to evade a restriction. Adults must not share access with a minor. Where we cannot lawfully offer adult content, we may restrict access. A person who believes an age decision was mistaken can ask for review at [email protected].
2. Community Contributors
Publishing is limited to eligible adult accounts that follow the Content Provider Agreement. We do not collect identity documents or selfies in order to publish. Selecting a fictional character's age does not establish the contributor's age. An adult contributor is still prohibited from submitting a real person's picture or any depiction that is, or appears to be, underage.
Do not upload identity documents into chats, generation, or community posts. We do not use biometric data for access or publication.
3. Fictional Characters and Child Protection
Every character in sexual or romantic content must clearly be an adult. A number such as "18", "21" or an implausible fictional age does not make a childlike appearance, youth-coded context or age-ambiguous depiction acceptable. The ban applies to photorealistic, drawn, animated, synthetic and edited media, text and audio.
We prohibit child sexual abuse material, grooming, sexual solicitation of minors, attempts to sexualize a minor or generate an apparent minor, and efforts to conceal such requests through coded or translated prompts. These restrictions apply in private generation, on community pages, and in tags, thumbnails, advertisements and search terms. Details appear in the Blocked Content Policy.
4. Suspected Underage Accounts
If credible information suggests an account is held by an ineligible person, we restrict access while checking. A confirmed underage account is closed. Credit purchases do not renew. Information is deleted except for narrowly required legal, safety, or abuse-prevention records. Refund and statutory rights are assessed separately. An adult may challenge an erroneous decision through the Complaints Policy.
5. Reports and Evidence
A parent, guardian or any other person can report a minor's access or suspected exploitation by email to [email protected] without an account. The Complaints Policy explains how reports are handled. Give an account identifier or content location and a factual explanation. We do not require a parent to open an adult-content account to report a concern. Do not send suspected CSAM or unnecessary identity records.
Credible urgent reports are escalated immediately. Identified illegal content is removed immediately. Other content reports follow the Complaints Policy's seven-calendar-day maximum; shorter safety deadlines apply where relevant. Apparent child exploitation is reported to NCMEC or the appropriate competent authority where required by law. Evidence preservation is restricted to authorized personnel and applicable legal duties.
